Promotion Well Deserved.
Two members of 51 Orton ATC Squadron were flying high last night at the announcement of their promotion.
Corporal Natalie Clampin, was shocked to be promoted to and accepted the promotion with much pride. Sergeant Clampin has shown dedication to not only the Squadron but also the ATC as a whole, and is role model for the organisation. Sergeant Clampin commented “I feel really privileged that my hard work and commitment to the squadron and my fellow cadets has been recognised and rewarded with my recent promotion to Sergeant. With my new found rank and responsibilities I feel very positive about 2012.
Sergeant Clampin’s promotion left an opening for Corporal; and although there are several worthy cadets within the squadron, Cadet Logan Robinett was lucky enough to be selected for the promotion. Corporal Robinett has recently been to RAF Brampton to complete his Wing JNCO course, of which along with his length of service within the ATC gives him a good background to continue his involvement in the organisation and to move onto the next stage. Corporal Robinett said “I am thrilled and excited to be given the opportunity to perform the duties of a Corporal. The JNCO course which I attended a couple of weeks ago is not only enjoyable but very worth wild and I would strongly recommend that should anyone have the opportunity to attend this course to do so with pride.”
Flt Lt Bone said “It is always difficult when it comes to promotion, so many cadets do not only want the rank, but they are capable of owning it, and any decision is always difficult and both Sergeant Clampin and Corporal Robinett deserve this recognition.”
